So, I’m changing gears. Still eating healthy. Still eating mostly whole foods. Still staying clear of most sugar. But I am weening off of Whole30. I’m so thankful for the last 45 days or so of eating clean, clean, clean, but I can feel myself getting bored and that’s never a good thing.
Melanie told me about this app — Ultimate Food Value Diary. It’s basically Weight Watchers without the cost. Seriously. The full blown app was $13 for the year. ($3.99 for the basic app and then $9.99 for 12 months of premium where you can link your exercise tracker, etc.). So far so good. It has the feel of WW, even a little fancier in some ways. So, we shall see. I will weigh next Sunday just to see where I’m at and then go from there.
The only sugar I will add back in is honey or agave. I miss it in my tea, but it’s not enough to set me off down a dark path of sugar craziness. And rice, I miss a bit of rice for a side. Otherwise, I’m perfectly happy eating whole. In fact, the smell of roasted vegis is wafting through my house as I type.
My recovery is still ongoing. It’s soooo much slower than I had hoped. I’m thinking this coming weekend I’ll try to go for a short walk so I don’t feel so frustrated and useless. I truly do. I feel like a giant lump on the couch. I had a busy weekend and I probably over used it again, but you do the best that you can.
I pulled an all-nighter on Friday-Saturday. Our high school youth group “packed the MAC” for the entire night. So much fun, but wow – I’m too old for that! I was up all day Friday, took a one-hour nap, and then hit the MAC from 9:30p – 7:15a the next day. Came home thinking I’d totally pass out and only managed two one-hour naps. I was so spent by Saturday night. I slept a full 8 hours, non breaks. It felt great. Sunday I volunteered at church for Starting Point, a welcome event for newcomers to our church. Those that want to get more connected. I manned a table of nice folks. Later last night was youth group. I guess I was the “church lady” this weekend. It feels good to serve but I’m glad the weekend came to a close! 🙂
This week it’s back to focusing more on work and building my business. Feels good to be getting back in the swing of things.
