Keys…

Well, we finally closed on our dream home here in the South! I couldn’t be more excited! We headed over for the final walk through at 9am to meet with David, the superintendent on our project. He has been so amazing to work with through the whole process. There were literally only two items left on the punch list. Both were in process. I can’t say enough about David, or the subs. They have truly built us a lovely, solid home.

Linda, our salesperson, and the other super, Jason, stopped by to drop off some welcome gifts. A few Yeti cups and two nice camp chairs. Really a nice touch.

We went from walk through to close where about 25 minutes later we owned the house! 😳. We were a little stunned it went so quickly and smoothly. So thankful for everyone along the way in the process.

We went from there to lunch to the house. I changed clothes and began the daunting task of painting. So far so good. We started with the kitchen painting a very coastal green color called sea salt. I wasn’t sure at first. We have mid-tone gray tile as backsplash in the kitchen and it’s not truly the best combination, but once I got the color on the back wall near the windows…perfection!! I only have the one pic of paint so far…

I’ll post more later today.

Our neighbor, and friend, Amina dropped off a vase with welcome roses. So sweet of her! And we got to meet our neighbor, Dana, across the street. She and I are going to be fast friends as she shares a passion of home decor shopping with me!!

Today will be more of the same…painting. We only have a few days before I’m on a business trip and then the movers will come with our storage.

I am so excited for this next chapter and feel truly blessed. We love South Carolina and our new home. We are already feeling so blessed by the people we have met in our short time here. I wonder what God has in store next!
