Another milestone. In July 2017 I wore a 3X shirt, sometimes snugly. Sunday I finally ventured into this cute boutique-styled clothing store and found by miracle of miracles that I fit into a large. A LARGE. Whoa. And just when I needed the confirmation. The scale hasn’t been doing much moving over the last few weeks when I have actually been hitting the gym probably harder than I have in the cumulative seven months since surgery. But my body is still changing. And this is the incentive I needed to soldier on.
On the home front – everything is looking great there as well. We close on Thursday — like in two days Thursday! 🙂 I am so excited I could scream. We did our walk-through with the builder last Thursday, we’ll have the final walk-through on Thursday morning prior to close. There are some minor cosmetic touch ups needed to the outside of the house, but it’s super damp and foggy today and rain is forecast for tomorrow so those things may not get finished until after close, but I’m not all that concerned. In general, the house is lovely and the workmanship is superb. I would build with Fielding again — hands down. I can’t get over how great of an experience it has been from start to finish.
I spent this weekend taking advantage of tons of President’s day sales. I bought the Bombay chests I’ve been coveted as nightstands for Frank and I for more than a year. I got them for 1/2 price. Two for the price of one. Couldn’t resist. And, since I cannot afford the bedframe of my dreams just yet, I hit the sale at Wayfair and found a gorgeous fabric King-sized headboard for like $120 — which is a smoking good deal. That should tide us over for some time. I’m just happy to have one room basically finished. Whoot whoot.
After taking possession on Thursday, we’ll hit Lowes, buy our paint and head on over to get started colorizing the walls! A lot to do in a very little time before the movers bring our stuff from storage. We will officially be moved in and begin sleeping in the house as of March 2nd. It’s so hard to believe we’re at the end of the building journey already. Feels like we just moved here. Literally.
We are excited to start this new adventure and start to put down our roots. We are thankful for so much support from friends and family over the past few months and we look forward to many visitors in the coming year.
Congrats on getting into a large, I know it felt great!!
