Breaking barriers…

barrier

I have officially broken into the 240’s.  That’s 36 pounds gone on my 5-week anniversary of surgery.  I started this journey at my highest recorded weight of 285.6 and yesterday at weigh-in I was 249.6.  That is just crazy to me.  I have to say — I slacked this week on exercise – but I’m back on the horse today.

TOM came this weekend.  After a 6-week hiatus.  And it was awful.  Painful.  Cramping.  And then I remembered, oh yeah, I can’t take Midol…or any NSAID for that matter.  Every again.  It’s both an irritant to the stomach lining, but can cause internal bleeding as well.  So, suffer I did.  But — on the positive side, it only lasted 2 days – down from 5-7 at my heaviest weight.  Let’s hope that’s a trend.

I see my regular doctor today.  Dr. Mackay has been so supportive through this whole time.  She’s just a rockstar cheerleader for me.  I can’t wait to show her my progress.  That and get my med dose increased.  I had to switch from Vyvanse to Aderall and well, Aderall doesn’t do the job the same way Vyvanse did.  😦  I feel like I’m out there at work and … Squirrel … easily distracted for sure.  So, we’ll see if a higher dose will work.

Otherwise, things are good.  Been eating better (more in line with correct portion sizes for my stage in the game).  Vitamins are going well.  So far, so good.  Why didn’t I do this years ago?
