Not much to report…

I’ve been getting lots of questions asking how my sister is doing, and I realized I haven’t posted on the topic in a while. Mostly because there is nothing new to report. Cathy is doing well, overall.

She has been taking the once-a-month shot of Lenrotide for the last three months, and she will see the doctor next Friday, August 29th. I believe she will have one more shot, and then they will give her a scan to see if we’ve had any success in either a) keeping the tumor from growing, or b) actually shrinking the tumor even a little bit. Personally, I’ll be ecstatic with either outcome.

She sounds good, she’s not coughing anymore, and she’s back to walking for “60-minutes” on the treadmill daily. (That’s our little inside joke. Cathy spends about 25 minutes on the treadmill each day and tells me she spent “an hour, 60-minutes, Cheryl.”)

I’m hoping to get back out to see her when she follows up after the scan. I’ve been traveling a lot more with work since my job has begun to switch over to the new position (I’ll update that in another post)…but I will absolutely take time to travel to see Cathy as we are given the results of these first few months on the protocol.

Thanks for asking for follow-up reports, for your concern, and most of all, your prayers for my sister. She’s precious and has the best attitude about the shots. She’s a joy and a delight. She is my heart.
